My vacation days are coming to an end and I knew there were some places I had to stop by before I leave. I grabbed a lock and headed to the Love Locket Scuplture. This would be a symbolic gesture to…. myself. The last few years have been an incredible journey of ups and downs, overcoming challenges and truly learning to love myself. I’m not attached to anyone, free as bird, and I have been enjoying this time to really understand myself.
We are with “ourselves” more than anyone else, yet we are our own toughest critics. We put others first and lose track of our own wants and needs. There was a long period of trying to re-discover who I was and I’m still in the discovery phase. Maybe I will always be searching and looking for who Jules is…. but in the meantime, I’m going to love myself every step of the way.
I placed the lock, snapped it in place and left my mark in a heart. Something so simple, but now I am officially locked in, a reminder to love the woman I was before, now and the future.
